| Episode Narrative | Strong to severe thunderstorms moved across portions of northern Illinois during the afternoon of September 3rd. |
| Event Narrative | A weak EF-0 tornado produced mainly tree damage in western Chicago. The first damage was noted on Arthington Street, just west of Cicero Avenue. A continuous path of mostly minor tree damage extended to the east northeast crossing Interstate 290 near Pulaski Road with the final damage noted near Garfield Park, between 5th Avenue and Jackson Blvd near Central Park Avenue. One tree was blown into an apartment building knocking out windows and a couple of large tree limbs fell onto cars. |
