Episode Narrative A strong backdoor cold front surged through the gaps of the central mountain chain during the very early morning of May 13, 2023. High winds produced repeated gusts to 60 mph at the Albuquerque Sunport. A tree was blown down in an Albuquerque neighborhood. Meanwhile, an unrelated brief landspout tornado was reported near Gallup by the acting fire chief of McKinley County. The landspout caused no damage.
Event Narrative The acting fire chief of McKinley County sent a video of a brief landspout tornado near Gallup. It caused no damage.
