| Episode Narrative | A subtle upper level disturbance interacted with a frontal boundary and unstable airmass to produce numerous strong to severe thunderstorms across much of central and south-central Kansas, as well as portions of southeast Kansas from the afternoon hours of the 25th through the early morning hours of the 26th. Four tornadoes touched down across central Kansas, but fortunately they occurred over open country and produced no known damage. Additionally, hail as large as golfballs occurred across central Kansas, and an intense microburst with winds up to 100 mph caused a narrow and short swath of damage across West Wichita. |
