Paleo Slide Set: Coral Paleoclimatology:Natural Record of Climate change for High School Student
School of goatfish (Mulloidicthys dentatus), Clipperton Atoll in the eastern Pacific.
One of the main reasons why coral reefs attract so many diverse organisms is because of the abundant food supply that the reef provides. The small fish (herbivores) that feed on the algae (autotrophs) within the coral, attract larger fish (primary carnivores), such as those in this slide.
