Wildfires - April 2017

For April, 39,445 fires (most since 2000) burned 270,818 acres (6th most on record), which is 6.9 acres burned/fire (least on record). For January - April, 52,903 fires (most since 2000) burned 2,436,820 acres (most on record), which is 46.1 acres burned/fire (5th most on record).
