Local Isn't Global: Pockets of Cold in a Warming World—A Climate.gov Video

April 18, 2013, Climate.gov released a new video starring Deke Arndt, Chief of the Climate Monitoring Branch at NCDC. The video, entitled “Local Isn't Global: Pockets of Cold in a Warming World,” discusses how particular areas can experience below-average temperatures even though the globe as a whole is warmer than average. Climate monitoring allows us to determine this by measuring temperatures and creating long-term records across the world.

Many other climate information resources are also available on Climate.gov including assessments, reports, teaching resources, and multimedia and educational games about climate science.
