Episode Narrative An area of low pressure moving across the Northern Plains spread heavy snow of 6 inches to west central Minnesota from the mid afternoon until the early morning hours. Strong winds gusting to over 40 mph caused some blowing and drifting snow. Some activities were cancelled and roads became treacherous. Also, some school openings were delayed on the 7th. Snowfall amounts included 6 inches at Browns Valley, Dumont, and Beardsley.
