Episode Narrative A warm unstable airmass and a strongly sheared environment resulted in supercell thunderstorms across parts of New Mexico. Severe storms began near the central mountain chain during the afternoon and spread across the plains during the evening, tracking eastward just to the north of Interstate 40. Radar indicated several tornadoes along this track, but only one confirmed report was received, just north of Tucumcari.
Event Narrative Heavy rain caused flooding of draws and roads east of Stanley, including Flat Lakes Road.
