| Episode Narrative | Surface low pressure tracked from the southern Appalachians to western Virginia by Saturday March 8th. A deepening upper level trough worked into the Ohio Valley overnight, combining with the surface low and strengthening the entire system. The surface pressure gradient tightened in response to the upper low, and gusts of 30 to 40 mph brought blizzard-like conditions to the region. |
