| Episode Narrative | Severe to Extreme Drought Conditions continued into February over portions of southwest Virginia. Mainly this area encompassed most of the piedmont, south to the North Carolina border, and west to the mountains. By the end of the month, conditions improved over the mountains and portions of the foothills. |
