High temperatures in the 50s over a period of several days resulted in enough runoff to cause ice on the Sugar River in West Claremont to move and jam. The River crested at 7.2 feet, 0.2 feet above the 7.0 foot flood stage. Only minor flooding occurred during a 25 minute period. |
