| Episode Narrative | A surface low pressure system over Northern Texas early on the 22nd, deepened as it marched Northeast into far Southern Minnesota by the early evening hours, and then into Northeastern Wisconsin by early on the 23rd. Some snowfall totals of note include: 7.5 inches (Luck), 6.80 inches (Stanley), 6.70 inches Eau Claire, 6.00 inches (Cumberland), 6.0 inches (Ladysmith), 6.0 inches (12 miles N Bruce), 5.00 inches (12 NW Balsam Lake), 4.50 inches (Clayton). West Northwest winds in the 10 to 15 mph sustained range (with a few gusts to 25-30 mph were also noted during the event, producing some blowing and drifting of snow). |
