Episode Narrative A series of slow moving thunderstorms tracked across the same region repeatedly during the late afternoon and early evening of the 24th. Locally heavy rain resulted, and in some cases, helped to prompt flash flooding.
Event Narrative Heavy rainfall totaling 3.95 inches in 3 hours,and 4.31 inches in 6 hours ending at 17:30 EST, prompted flash flooding in several locations in the City of Martinsville, VA. Reeves Road was covered with water and mud. Liberty Street and Royal Avenue were flooded.
