At the beginning of October, severe (D2) drought conditions were reported across eastern Iron County. Following several rounds of beneficial rainfall, this area was upgraded to moderate (D1) drought status by mid-month.
All of northwest Wisconsin was declared a federal disaster area on October 31 for the extreme drought that prevailed throughout the summer of 2007. |
