Episode Narrative A slow moving cold front provided the lift mechanism needed for strong thunderstorms, heavy rain and flooding.
Event Narrative Street flooding in Mankato, with a few cars stranded. Between 0130 and 0300 CST, rain totaled 4.56 inches two miles south of St. Clair. One mile north of Minnesota Lake, 5.32 inches fell as of 0700 CST August 19.
