Episode Narrative A powerful winter storm developed across the Central Rockies and moved through the Central Plains, with the northern edge of the storm clipping south central South Dakota. Precipitation started off as a period of rain and freezing rain before changing to snow. Snowfall totals of 6 to 12 inches were common south and east of Mission to Winner. Brisk north winds caused minor blowing and drifting snow.
