Episode Narrative A broad high pressure ridge was situated over much of the U.S. The combination of a series of upper level disturbances moving around this ridge and abundant low level moisture provided by southeast flow off the Gulf of Mexico, aided in the development of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain across portions of West Texas and southeast New Mexico.
Event Narrative Law enforcement barricaded the Rocky Arroyo crossing due to four feet deep water rapidly flowing across New Mexico State Highway 137 near Eddy County 401.
