Episode Narrative A broad high pressure ridge was situated over much of the U.S. The combination of a series of upper level disturbances moving around this ridge and abundant low level moisture provided by southeast flow off the Gulf of Mexico, aided in the development of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain across portions of West Texas and southeast New Mexico.
Event Narrative One to three feet of water flowed across Marathon Road west southwest of Lakewood. Six inches of water was flowing through Canal Street in Carlsbad.
