Convection developed along weak surface trough and outflow boundary associated with earlier thunderstorms. With mixed layer instability approaching 2000 J/kg, strong mid-level wind fields and steep lapse rates, clusters of thunderstorms formed moved across much of the area producing damaging wind gusts and some hail. |
