A strong cold front and upper level system crossed the region, bringing an outbreak of severe weather to Campbell and Crook Counties. Severe thunderstorms developed across central Campbell County early in the afternoon, producing two tornadoes near Gillette and hail to the size of golf balls. These storms weakened as they moved into western Crook County but stregthened again over the northern part of the county. |
