| Episode Narrative | A stronger core of winds across southern New England along with strong surface heating and instability helped to initiate a broken line of storms around midday which shifted south into the Blue Ridge and foothills by afternoon. The storms moved eastward across the piedmont before weakening after sunset. One storm however became nearly stationary over west central Buckingham County and dropped from 4 to 6 inches of rainfall in about 2 hours, leading to localized flash flooding. |
