| Episode Narrative | Deep moisture and an upper level low, associated with the remnants of Hurricane Isaac, built into the forecast region, providing the fuel for scattered strong to severe thunderstorm activity. Precipitable water values were near 2 inches across the forecast area, which was more than double what is typically found during early September. With abundant moisture and decent instability, slow moving pulse thunderstorm activity developed mainly along and east of the Blue Ridge Mountains from late morning through sunset. |
