A bow echo that was in Minnesota during the evening made its way across northern Wisconsin overnight. As the system passed it produced wind gusts estimated as high as 75 mph, causing widespread damage in north central Wisconsin. The storms also produced hail to golf ball size and torrential rainfall.
Several cooperative weather observers in southern Forest County and northern Oconto County reported 3 to 5 inches of rain for the 24 hours ending around 8:00 AM CDT but there were no reports of flooding. |
