Episode Narrative Temperatures near 90 along with dewpoints in the lower 70s contributed to very unstable conditions by mid-afternoon on September 5th. A weak disturbance crossing southern Illinois led to the development of a squall line during the morning hours. This line of storms grew upscale and moved south and east of the Ohio River near the Louisville metropolitan area by 3 pm, bringing widespread 50 to occasionally 60 mph winds. Several trees were downed in Meade and Jefferson Counties.
Event Narrative The Bourbon County Fire Department reported that trees had fallen across several areas county-wide.
