On Sunday, June 10, a closed low moved from the western Gulf of Mexico toward Alabama, lifting a warm front into south central Alabama. As widespread rain spread into the area Sunday morning, a line of thunderstorms strengthened and moved eastward along the northern Gulf of Mexico coast. The northern extent of the line of thunderstorms reached into south central Alabama, causing isolated damage in Barbour and Lee counties. |
