Episode Narrative Temperatures in the mid 90s combined with dewpoints above 70 led to the development of very unstable conditions during the afternoon of July 19th. Scattered severe storms developed across southern Indiana by late afternoon, aided by the approach of an upper level trough sliding southeast from the Upper Midwest. The stronger storms produced wet microbursts and scattered wind damage.
Event Narrative A spotter reported walnut sized hail.
