Episode Narrative Substantial rainfall on May 19th and 20th did not result in river flooding, but set up a situation for river flooding resulting from heavy rain on May 24th and early May 25th. River flooding began on the St Louis River, at Scanlon MN on May 29th. Flooding on the Mississippi River began at Aitkin MN on May 26th, and began further downstream at Brainerd MN and Ft Ripley MN on May 28th. Flooding continued to the end of the month.
