| Episode Narrative |
A line of severe thunderstorms moved into and across parts of western Wisconsin during the late evening hours on May 2nd and produced damaging winds and large hail. Emergency management in Buffalo, Trempealeau and Jackson Counties reported trees, power lines, homes and roofs damaged along with power outages. The worst wind and hail damage occurred in the community of Blair, WI (Trempealeau County) where virtually every structure was either damaged or completely destroyed. The Blair-Taylor High School roof received major damage and a 25 to 30 unit mobile home park was evacuated after several homes were moved off their foundations rupturing natural gas lines. A power outage in Blair lasted up to 16 hours. |
