Episode Narrative An upper level disturbance passed across the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia on the afternoon of May 2nd 2012 and interacting with low level convergence along the Blue Ridge associated with a lee side trough. This combination helped trigger scattered thunderstorms across Southside Virginia. A few of these storms were severe.
