Strong northwest winds of 40 mph or greater and gusts of 50 to 60 mph occurred across Hooker County from the morning into the afternoon hours. Nearby Thedford AWOS in Thomas County frequently reported sustained winds of 40 to 45 mph and wind gusts around 50 mph or greater frequently between 7:15 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. MST. A peak wind gust of 58 mph was reported at 10:35 a.m. MST. |
