Episode Narrative A weak cold crossing the area was accompanied by scattered showers and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms crossing Orleans County produced hail up to one inch in diameter. While structure damage was limited, a substantial amount of damage was done to the apple and cherry crop in that county. In Fillmore, Allegany County, the thunderstorm winds downed trees and wires. A house fire in Middlebury, Wyoming County, was started by a lightning strike.
