Plenty of fuels, extremely dry and hot weather and breezy south winds produced near critical fire weather conditions in early August. As a result of these weather conditions, a few smaller size wildfires erupted across West Central Texas. |

The Whitehead Fire located near the Menard and Concho County Line burned approximately 451 acres. The wildfire threatened two homes but were saved by the fire fighters. |
