Several rounds of thunderstorms developed north of a warm front and trained across portions of northeast Iowa into Southwest Wisconsin during the evening of July 27th into the early morning hours of the 28th. The highest reported rainfall total from these storms was 4.99 inches in Volga (Clayton County).
