Episode Narrative An MCS moved out of northeast Georgia and into the western Upstate during the early evening hours. While the wind shear wasn't strong over the region, steep low level lapse rates resulted in a high downdraft CAPE (DCAPE) environment. As result, even as the line weakened considerably over South Carolina, it still blew down a number of trees.
Event Narrative Several trees and a few power lines were blown down in and near Westminster. Multiple trees were also blown down along Coffee Rd to the southwest of Walhalla as well as in Walhalla. Several trees fell on homes and vehicles.
