| Episode Narrative | Numerous thunderstorms erupted during the early afternoon hours along a weak cool front and with the passage of an upper level disturbance in northwest flow aloft. The airmass became very unstable with dew points in the lower 70s. The storms produced sporadic hail and winds of 50 to 60 mph with a couple of the stronger bowing line segments. A stronger wind likely produced more significant damage in the city of Decatur where a roof was torn off a restaurant. |
