Episode Narrative Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed across western and central New Mexico during the afternoon hours of the 13th. Though most individual storms were short-lived, a few storms dumped very heavy rains in vulnerable areas. Radar estimates over 2 inches of rain fell over portions of Gallup as well as the Track Fire burn scar.
Event Narrative Flash flooding occurred along Maloney Street between 1st and 6th streets. Several of these intersections were closed as water was halfway up vehicles. A few cars were stuck in the water.
