Episode Narrative A mid-level impulse moved across the Northern Rockies. Large-scale forcing combined with low-level upslope flow resulted in thunderstorm development across portions of southeast and south central Montana. Steep Lapse rates, dewpoints in the 50s and 60s, and 40-50kt westerly shear favored the development of strong to severe thunderstorms.
