Episode Narrative Southerly winds out ahead of a deep trough over the southern plains ushered in warm and humid air into the region. The resulting instability, combined with moderate winds aloft, combined to produce an environment marginally favorable for severe weather. Thunderstorms formed mainly along and east of the Blur Ridge during the afternoon, and several of these storms became severe with large hail and damaging winds.
