Episode Narrative Low pressure developed in southern New England and moved northeast along the coast of Maine. Precipitation ranged from around 1 inch or less in the mountains to 2 or more inches along the coast. The runoff was enhanced by melting snow. Minor flooding occurred on area rivers.
Event Narrative Heavy rain and snow melt caused flooding on the Kennebec River at Skowhegan (flood stage 35,000 cfs), which crested at 38,000 cfs.
