Episode Narrative Snow that melted in late March, combined with rains in late March and early April, caused the Mississippi River to go out of its banks.
Event Narrative The combination of melting snow and rainfall in late March pushed the Mississippi River out of its banks at Lake City from the 8th through the 17th. The river crested just over a foot above the flood stage at 17.01 feet on the 14th.
