Event Narrative The combination of rainfall and melting snow pushed the Mississippi River at McGregor out of its banks. The river exceeded the flood stage from the 28th through the end of the month. By the end of the month, the river was less than a half foot above the flood stage at 16.35 feet and was still rising.
