Severe Drought expanded across Brooks County during the last two weeks of April. |
| Event Narrative |
The drought conditions intensified across Brooks County the last two weeks of April. Extreme D3 drought conditions continued across the western half of Brooks County, D2 drought conditions developed across the north, central, eastern and southern one half of Brooks County with the exception of the extreme northeastern corner of the County due to the continued lack of significant rainfall; record to near record heat and persistent winds exacerbated drought conditions.
Dryland crop damage began developing by month's end, and livestock feed was affected. Details on degree of crop damage will be available in the May Storm Data report. |
