| Episode Narrative |
A winter storm came out of the southwest United States and brought snow and sleet to southeast Minnesota from February 20th into the 21st. Snow accumulations over the 2 days ranged from 5 to 11 inches. Sleet accumulations were minor and less than a tenth of an inch and mainly confined to the area south of Interstate 90. In addition to the snow, strong winds hit the area with sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts between 35 and 40 mph. The highest reported snowfall amounts were 10.8 inches in Theilman (Wabasha County) and 10 inches in Lake City (Wabasha County). |
| Event Narrative |
Sleet and freezing rain created ice accumulations up to a quarter of an inch by the morning of the 21st and there was also 1 to 2 inches of snow. The mixture of precipitation continued through the 21st with little additional ice accumulations. Storm total snow accumulations were generally in the 1 to 4 inch range. |
