| Episode Narrative | A prolonged snowfall became moderate to heavy on during the evening of January 30th and the morning of January 31st. Total accumulations varied from 6 to 10 inches, except for lesser amounts near the southern border of the state. There some areas of blowing snow as winds increased. |
| Event Narrative | Snowfall of 8 to 11 inches, including 11 inches at Marshall, included light accumulations which fell before and after the heavy snow during the night of January 30th and the daytime hours of January 31st. Winds gusting to over 30 mph caused areas of blowing and drifting snow. Travel was made difficult at times, and some schools and businesses closed. |
