Severe (D2) drought, as identified by the U.S. Drought Monitor, persisted across portions of eastern Alabama, from extreme southern Randolph county and Tallapoosa county southward to eastern Elmore, northeastern Montgomery and southeastern Pike, and locations east of these areas. |
