| Episode Narrative | Low pressure off the Carolina coast on the morning of the 11th intensified rapidly as it moved slowly northeast to near Cape Cod by the morning of the 12th, and then to just east of Nova Scotia by the morning of the 13th. The storm brought heavy snow to the state with some mixed precipitation along the immediate coast. Snowfall amounts ranged from about 6 inches on the north side of the western mountains to 10 to 19 inches across much of the remainder of the area. Along the immediate coast, snowfall amounts ranged downward to about 6 inches due to the mixed precipitation. |
