| Episode Narrative | Warm air advection, combined with lift associated with an approaching trough, spread occasionally heavy snow across north central Kentucky. Snow developed during the late morning hours along the Ohio River and moved southeast and covered the entire central portion of the Commonwealth by mid afternoon. Snow ended by late afternoon west of Interstate 65 and by early evening farther east across the Bluegrass Region. Across an area north of a line from Louisville to just east of Lexington, snowfall became heavy for a time, with total accumulations from 3 to 5 inches. Snowfall totals diminished farther south, lowering to around 2 inches along the Tennessee border. |
