| Episode Narrative | A fast moving upper storm system brought a brief round of wintry weather to the west Texas South Plains during the late evening hours of the 24th and the pre-dawn hours of the 25th. Snowfall resulted in light accumulations, generally along the far eastern portions of the Llano Estacado where upslope north to northeasterly winds enhanced lift along the Caprock escarpment. Accumulations were light with only a few locales that measuring snow depths near one inch. No public impacts were reported. Reported snow accumulations included: 1 inch at Abernathy (Hale County), 1 inch at Crosbyton (Crosby County), 1 inch at Floydada (Floyd County), and 1 inch at Lubbock's Preston Smith International Airport (Lubbock County), 1 inch at Mackenzie Reservoir (Briscoe County). |
