A low pressure system deepened over northern Minnesota and was responsible for high winds across northeast Iowa in the morning hours of October 26th into the daytime hours of the 27th. The high winds blew over a Freightliner truck and injured the driver near Monona (Clayton), damaged buildings in Clayton County, caused power outages that affected 1400 customers in Charles City (Floyd) and prompted Valley Community Schools (Fayette) to close early. |
