Episode Narrative A fast but strong storm system that developed across the Central Plains Friday night, November 12th, moved north-northeast across portions of southeast Minnesota, and into West Central Wisconsin by the afternoon of Saturday, November 13th.
A band of heavy snow fell from northwest Iowa, into south central, and east central Minnesota, and portions of west central Wisconsin during the morning hours of Saturday, and quickly moved northeast into northeast Minnesota by the early evening.
There was a narrow band of 6 inches of snow that fell in western and northern Polk County, and also in northern Barron County, during the late morning and afternoon, before it switched over to a mixture of snow and rain.
Event Narrative Light snow developed across portions of the county during the morning hours of Saturday November 13th, before switching over to a mixture of rain and snow during the afternoon. Locally, 6 inches of snow fell in the western and northern parts of Polk County by Noon.
